Bath Refugee Festival
Led by Sudafest and Lorraine Ayensu Refugee Arts, The Bath Refugee Festival is an initiative celebrating the contributions, cultures, and voices of refugees and migrants in Bath. Taking place in June, the festival will align with this year’s national Refugee Week theme: Community as a Superpower, featuring a diverse programme of events, performances, and discussions.
We invite students, artists, organisations, and professionals to participate—whether by hosting an event, contributing skills, or supporting the festival’s development.
The Bath Refugee Festival's first Planning Meeting brought together over 25 individuals from Bath and the surrounding areas, all connected to the refugee cause—whether through their current or past work, lived experience, or a shared commitment to humanitarian support.
The discussion revealed significant potential, with a wealth of experience from diverse backgrounds and various resources at our disposal. We collectively agreed to align with this year’s Refugee Week theme, Community as a Superpower, and to organise an event—or multiple events—that reflect this theme.
