Zola Tales
Zola Tales is a project where Sudanese mothers and their daughters unite to create stories inspired by the richness of Sudanese folklore. With each stroke of imagination, they painted vivid landscapes and brought characters to life, passing down cherished traditions from generation to generation. Zola Tales is a bridge that connects generations, forging bonds through the power of arts and culture.
Alongside storytelling sessions, Sudanese young girls participated in workshops culminating in a theatre show. They paid homage to Malkat Aldar Mohamed, the first Sudanese female novelist and champion for women's rights in Sudan. This theatre piece breathes life into her extraordinary legacy.
But the wonders of Zola Tales do not stop there. Zola Tales members now set their sights on creating the first-ever Sudanese podcast dedicated to bedtime stories. This endeavour promises to reach countless children and parents, with tales that transcend time and space.
